Start here

Welcome to Sandbound. This is where we write up our trips properly: the route we actually took, the transfers that worked, how each day went and what we would skip next time. Our first long story covers three days on Cebu in April 2026, and Palawan is next.

The short version lives on Instagram; the long one lives here.

Get inspired

Where to next? We choose places for the water, the food and the views, then write down how the days really went. Start with Cebu: a historic centre where the sights sit close together, a sardine run off Moalboal and a hilltop lookout over Cebu City. More islands follow as we write them up.

Collect moments.
Leave footprints.

Plan your trip

Planning is where most of the time goes, so we share ours. Every story opens with the route at a glance, then the connections, the base we chose and what we booked ahead. For Cebu that meant Frankfurt to Bahrain, on to Manila, a change to the domestic terminal and a short hop to Cebu, landing on the evening of April 5.

Travel gear

This section will collect the gear that earned its place in our bags, from snorkelling kit to the camera setup. Until the first guide is up, the Cebu story has the practical notes from the dive day and the list of what was worth it.

Packing guides

Packing for islands comes down to water, sun and the odd tropical downpour. Our packing guides will come from real trips rather than wish lists, so we publish them as the trips happen.

Travel tips

Small details decide whether a day works: how early to leave for Moalboal, how long the airport run takes, when a private transfer pays off. We keep these tips inside each story, next to the day they belong to, and answer the common questions in an FAQ at the end.
